Inna, born as Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu rose to fame after various unsuccessful attempts. She tried to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, but didn't qualify for the National Final. In 2008 she started a new career as Inna, helped by producing trio Play & Win. The follow-up singles like "Amazing" or "Sun Is Up" gained her many other RRA Awards or MTV Romania Music Awards. Inna received the "Romanian Border Breaker Award" at the European Border Breakers Award in 2010 as well as being twice named "Best Romanian Act" during the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 and the MTV Europe Music Awards 2010.
